Program Manager – Overhead and Underground Inspection/Correction (R18-644)




This position is responsible for managing the inspection, testing and corrective maintenance programs for PGE's overhead and underground electrical distribution facilities (commonly known as the FITNES Program). Accountability includes ensuring compliance with relevant OPUC Service Quality Measures (SQM's) by determining the specifications, conducting required oversight of the preventive and corrective maintenance and testing activities performed by utility inspectors and contractor and PGE line personnel.



  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, communications, or finance (electrical, civil/structural) or equivalent experience.

  • 10 years professional experience with 5 years managing projects, with experience as a program or project manager.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of National Electric Safety Code (NESC), applicable.

  • Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR's), PGE Standards, OSHA safety standards, Service Quality Measures (SQM's) and OPUC expectations.

  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, organizational and human relationship skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of job planning and problem evaluation techniques.

  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet required deadlines.
